    The Light Cafe is for photographers using Digital or Film cameras. We are here to promote learning and sharing with others who have a passion for photography. Besides the numerous critique threads, you will find discussions on Photoshop as well as the traditional darkroom. Studio equipment, items for sale and all the familiar items found in web forums. How are we different? You will not find the normal posting limitations other sites place, and this is not catered to people using dial up computer connections. You can post large images and numerous images per thread. This is especially beneficial for landscape and panoramic photography where the normal posting limits prevent others from seeing decent sized representations of your prints. Finally, offer honest critiques; "Great Shot" is not a critique.

    Forum for photo critiques and discussions concerning adult portraits and family portraits and heck, even pet portraits go in here. If your photograph contains nudity you are expected to indicate so in the title. i.e. "Hot Bikini Babe (Nudity warning)". This will warn in advance that there is nudity and will allow people to make a decision on whether to open the thread or not.

    Forum for photo critiques and discussions concerning those wild animal safari's in the woods, jungle or your back yard. This would be wild animals, not zoo animals or pets. Flowers, trees, those things that occur naturally on earth.

    Any pet or zoo animal threads will be moved to the Everything Else forum...Pet portraits can be posted in the portrait section.

    What, you took a great picture that does not fit into any of the above categories? Like that infared flower shot...

    This is the place to put all other images, this includes your pet photography whose forum was recently merged with the general area.

  • Photography print and competition print critiques
    This forum is for you too show off final print versions of your images, too include digital mattes to hear opinions on your color choice/shape/size/crop etc. A great forum for feedback on club competition or fair/other competition print choices.

    Critics should be even more brutal than other forums, with as much detail as you can provide the artist. When given different versions of the same image, please go into detail on why you would select one version over another for competition submittal.

    Post images here you would like assistance with and include in the title "How would you process this"

    Post images here you would like people to play with and title them "Take it and play with it"

    Post a portion of an image here and title it "What is it" then share the rest of the image after someone guesses it correctly.

    Remember, images must be good captures to make good photos however certain post processinig effects can be used to enhance or make for a stronger image. By submitting images to this area of our forum permission for others to download and alter the images is automatic.
