I am normally feel that no matter how bad it is they have a chance...not this year, the Sabres simply do not have "it"

"It" should be defined as:

    will to win
    leadership on ice
    give it all attitude
    don't give up

I actually find myself hoping they do not make the playoffs, simply because I think any other team this year (including Ottawa) has a better chance at pulling off a 1 vs 8 or 2 vs 7 upset.

Osgood sucks......what a time of the season to fall off the wagon! He's the worst 24-6 goalie in the league  ......ah...Mike's favorite 7 OT losses.. He just can't play well since getting shit faced back in January. You can only bench a guy so much before it doesn't matter anymore. He's been benched three times. The last week off was "personal time". What professional player gets a 7 day personal holiday during a season. Maybe if he didn't drink on game day would help......apparently the Betty Ford Clinic didn't work.

So our Ducks are (somewhat) MIghty again and made the coveted (?) ;-) 8th spot. Now they just need to hold on for about 10 more games...

If they can keep up their current momentum, then they'll surely make the playoffs. But I'm just not so sure if they can...

Speaking of how the mighty have fallen, Dallas, last years cup runner up, is ranked below us, out of playoff territory...

Sabres actually did not look bad the other night, but they would need to win 8 of the next 9 games to get in and still would need other teams to not do the same thing...

Wings are hoping Osgood is sober tonight against the Islanders. If he isn't seeing double we can notch 50 wins for the fourth consecutive season.

out of town scoreboard last night was no help for the Sabres, who have actually looked better the last few games but not much...

Spent this past weekend in Cleveland shooting hockey for a company, some great hockey. Had some really great images but did not keep any files to share....sorry

The Sens are not quite mathematically out, but they may as well be. The only way the Sens can make the playoffs now is if:

Quote:
The Sens could still make the playoffs with a 6-0 finish if the Canadiens go 0-6, the Panthers 0-4-1 or worse, and the Sabres 2-3-2 to make a three-way tie at 88 points and 39 wins. The Sens would win that tiebreak even though they have lost the season series to Montreal, thanks to their 10 points vs. Buffalo.

Let me call my bookie! I could retire off the winnings!

Who did Detroit draw?

I think I will be rooting for the Blackhawks (local boy on the team) and Capitals (I have come around on the Ovechkin kid)

Well, 5 minutes left and the Ducks are up 1 - 0 against the Sharks.

We made the playoffs again, by the skin of our teeth. They look great tonight, but keep calling penalties. (grrr...) Hiller has stood on his head goal-tending!

We play Columbus. The first period wasn't very pretty as we gave up 13 shots but then they only had a total of 20 for the game. Our second period was the best hockey I've seen all season for the Wings. SO.......we are up 1-0 with the 4-1 win. :D

I still remain surprised that the Blue Jackets remain in Columbus and have not been moved to Cleveland or some other larger city....but then again the Sabres remain in Buffalo

I was at the Tiger game watching the Yankees kick our ass with 10 runss in the 7th inning. A bit of history since a scoreless game after 6 innings has only been broken with 10 runs against the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1919.....of course by the Yankees. It's the second time the Tigers have ever allowed 10 runs in an inning the last being 1939. It was cold 47 degrees but the beer never got warm!

Heard 2 goals in 40 seconds for the win.

So my 8th seated Ducks knocked out the #1 San Jose Sharks in 6 games. Next up we get to dine on some "chicken" wings. ;-)

Yes the Ducks are GOOD.................My wife is getting ready......

PLUM GOOD DUCK

1 onion
2 tbsp. butter
1 (17 oz.) can purple plums, purred
1 (6 oz.) can frozen lemonaid, thawed
1/3 c. chili sauce
1/4 c. soy sauce
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. ginger
2 tsp. mustard
Onion salt and garlic salt to taste
4 ducks
4 orange slices

Saute onion in butter in saucepan until tender. Add next 4 ingredients and seasonings. Simmer for 15 minutes, stirring frequently. Wash ducks; pat dry inside and out. Place on rack in baking pan; cover with orange slices.
Bake, covered at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours. Spoon half of sauce over ducks. Bake for 1 1/2 hours longer or until tender. Serve with remaining sauce.

I think of the second round match ups the Wings/Ducks and Pens/Caps will both be very exciting.

The Ducks / Wings is always a good series. Look for 7 games.

Agreed. And since you're dealing with the current cup holder and the cup holder from the year before it will be a blood match for sure.
