I have just discovered the fine art of ordering premium cigars from the USA. This package arrived just in time for the rest of my holiday vacation time ;)

An equivalent dollar value of cigars up here would be just three of the premium sticks. Stupid tobacco tax.

These aren't Cuban, but no matter. I'm puffing one right now that is as good as any equivalent Cuban I've ever smoked.

Something to occupy me while the gale-force winds keep me from sailing and it's too rainy for photography...

The meaning of life is simple: we exist to use our senses and consciousness to appreciate a universe that might otherwise go unappreciated in its eons of vast silence.

I don't have a beard, I don't play the piano, I have no hope as a photographer.

I've smoked cigars 3 times. Each time I tell myself that I will enjoy this one and I never do. Maybe I just didn't get premium ones, but they definitely were not cheap.

Above all, it's hard learning to live with vivid mental images of scenes I cared for and failed to photograph. It is the edgy existence within me of these unmade images that is the only assurance that the best photographs are yet to be made.
