I am close to hand feeding a Blue Jay and 2 Grey Catbirds. Each will come within feet of me as I sit out on the deck. Over the last week or so one particular Squirrel has caught onto the fact that if I'm outside on the deck it will possibly get a raw peanut. The last 3 nights it has stepped up it's game by jumping onto the door that leads out onto my deck once I go inside for the evening. Tonight I managed a picture of it as it peered inside looking for me.

I'm still amazed at how brave some of the wildife has become with me out in their element. When I started wildlife photography I was used to having birds fly away as soon as they saw me. With a lot of time and a lot more patience most don't do that anymore...at least the regulars I have in the yard. :D

He's going to eventually figure out how to turn the handle and let himself in.

Great photo, a place I used to go for holidays I'd always feed the birds on the deck. I always wondered what happened after I left and nobody was staying there.

Obviously an old thread but is he still hanging around?
