After challenge 58: blurb...

Quote:
Perfection is lovely. Clean, smooth, regular, ideal.

And, after a while, boring. Predictable. Nothing to mark it out, nothing to stand out from the crowd save that it so well represents the ideal of the crowd.

Your challenge this week is to capture the imperfect in whatever sense you wish. Capture the acne on the model's face, the scratch on the Rolls Royce, the graffiti on the Parthenon, the bugs chewing at the beautiful bloom, the soldier on parade picking their nose. Embrace technical imperfection in how you take or present the image to create a new and different result - motion blur, unusual focus, lens flare. However you choose to interpret, present a result that says 'imperfect'.

Here's some to get people started.

This is an older image (2005). I was walking along the river, doing some slow exposures on the water. The ducks took off, and I had no time to change the camera settings, so I attempted a very hasty pan. Somehow, I like the abstract nature of it, although looking at it now, I think I need to punch up the colours a bit. Maybe time for a revisit.
