One of the first assignments I did when I started photography seriously was leading lines.
It was one of many excellent tutorials posted by a guy who doesn't like crooked pictures. :)
It's stuck with me ever since, and when I see one in my viewfinder I have to take it.

So, this challenge is all about leading lines.

You may post up to 2 images, and photos taken within the last year.

I will pick a winner on Wednesday May 25.

Here's one of mine to get the ball rolling

What the hell! We have two images? I'll blow this one on the topic for "leading lines" just to make me think harder about it.....

There are some great entries so far, and I see all kinds of comments on images that should enter this challenge, but I don't see them here........

Bring it on, I'm up for it..... :)

I like your example, Lucille!

What makes leading lines pics work is that they use the elements of a picture to "lead" you through a picture... and the best ones use those lines to lead you to your subect. I like the second one of Brilliance and Jon's pics.

Well, here ya go, Lucille. I am starting to love these Challenges; they get me off my butt and out there doing something. Chicago Carol and I had a lot of fun this morning going into the city to make this image. It pretty much matches what I'd been planning all week. Now I can't wait to see what the next Challenge will be!! :)

LOL! Well I was really trying to get this in before CJs entry as I just knew he would win hands down (he hasn't disappointed), but he just snuck in before me!

I'll post mine anyway as I made a particular effort to shoot it for this challnge whilst I was out this week practising my photography skills with Grez2000:

And the winner is.......

Brizilliance for “Stony Stratford in the Mist”

It’s really unfortunate there can only be one winner and it was tough to choose.
Thanks all for taking this challenge with excellent images.

Brizilliance, you’re up next
