First, congrats to Paul, then to the rest of the contributors for great images and then to Jamie for his critique of each photo and expressing his dilemma in the final choice - very nicely done, IMO. I think it is really helpful for the "judge" to explain his choices and his criteria especially with so many great entries. :wink:

[quote="Brazilliance"]Thunder - Backlit kettle
Interesting image, the lighting's good (strobe behind the kettle?). The golden reflections on the front are nice too. /quote]

It was a high output quartz halogen lamp, I use it as a focusing lamp for high mag macro shots on the workstation.

Congrats PaulT. Your image IS superb. When I first saw it I was in awe of the crisp focus, the light, and the colors.

Brazilliance, your critique was brazilliant! Thank you for taking the time. THAT cannot be an easy task. One of the things about LC that I really appreciate, enjoy, and possibly take for granted, is the typically positive demeanor of the members. The forum I left to come here was NOT nearly as encouraging / uplifting. More like flaming and discouraging.

Thank you to all. I miss CJ's participation and comments. He adds a unique flavor to everything he posts in.

Congratulations Paul, a great shot, but boy the competition was tough, there are some beautiful shots in there.

And hats off to Jamie for a thorough run down on the entries.

Well done to all.
