"Friends"

We all have friends, though sometimes it may seem otherwise. Who are your friends?
Here are some of mine.

We will start now and run till midnight of next friday EST 7-22-2011.

We are packing up Stardust and going to visit family in P.A for a few days, so I won't be on line till Tuesday. My oldest son is staying with the critters for us. I made a mandala for one of my cousins (packing it on the bike should prove interesting). The Native American one is different from the one of the Buddhists, it is a shield that protects the home it is hung in, and brings happiness. I'll try to photograph it if anyone wants to see it.

1. Rufus and Pebbles.
Image

2. Stardust right after I rode her home from Texas. She looks a bit different today.
Image

3. Miss Ginger
Image

4. Angle, she is four years old now.

This should be good. Now do I shoot human friends or my non-human friends like you did Thunder? The possibilities are endless.

Thunder, before you run off, how many pics are we allowed in this contest?

Yes, I would love to see a picture of the mandala you made.

Ahhhh yes, I always seem to forget something *lucky my head is sewn on* two seems to be the prevailing number so we will go with that. No time limit as to when they were taken.

Scott...did the gentleman in the front with the hat pose for the statue's face behind the wall?

I hadn't noticed it, you could crop that so that it was just that bloke and the statue! Cool little detail.

I didn't notice it either, until Duane pointed it out. I agree with Timmy...a crop of just the guy and the statue would make an excellent image!

Great shots everyone. Love the B&W Scott... Phil...my wife wont let me look at yours long enough to comment. Thunder you have some great starters so here's my two cents. Believe it or not these two came from the same litter. Been friends for 12 years and love em both.

A bit of a story to it...

A group of us church "Friends" go every year for a weekend in the woods. Last year found our regular "haunt" in the woods unavailable. So we "settled" for Cedar Lodge, a small, delightful old cottage on Henderson Harbor, Lake Ontario. There was a vintage photo on the wall that prompted our "replication" of that image.

We had an absolute ball and the memories, like good friends are absolutely priceless.

Well thought out subject Thunder. I'm surprised there hasn't been more participation.

It was my first venture with PS so the grainy factor is overboard. But the theme is still portrayed.

The first image is a sample so I'm jamming a third one in as my "second" friend entry.

Even though there are not a lot of entries, this is going to be a tough one..

Patrish, I neglected to get a shot of the mandala before we left for home.

I seem to have developed a problem after our return trip home (we were on the Harley). The last 100 miles were through severe thunderstorms and record rainfall. Could be a coincidence, but I now suffer from completely debilitating dizzy spells. Today is the third day since Tuesday this has happened. I can barely look at the monitor. I may be gone for a bit after this challenge.

Two friends find some serenity with each other in the midst of the heat, crowds and bustle that is Epcot.

I also lost track of this thread. Go see a doc, Thunder. Please.

Love that shot Patrish!! He may "do it" ...but he don't have to "like it".

Bakeys...Brilliant concept my friend, even with the "blizzard" effect. Is that CJ in the rocker?

Gregg...Excellent candid. Very "telling" and nicely composed. Friendship conveyed...no words necessary. Great job.

Thunder..I'm praying for you brother. Hope it's a temporary glitch.

Good job everyone. :D

There are some excellent photos here, everyone! I'm glad I don't have to judge this one!
Thunder, you take care of yourself, and I hope you'll be feeling much better soon.

One hour and six minutes to go.

Thank you BuddyBob and Patrish, I found out tonight that a tribal brother on the other side of the country fell and hit his head late monday night, and has been suffering dizzy spells since, we have a link between us, that maybe the answer to my problems.

I have a link to the people that I love. Before Sunhawk moved here to Ohio for our joining, she had eye surgery. I knew the day but not the time. I was in Indiana picking up a load when I felt her heart race. I noted the time and later asked her when the procedure started, it was exactly the time that I had noted.
