Love it. I once read about a Vietnam war era photo journalist who carried around a broken doll and would throw it onto a pile of rubble to add a sense of pathos.

Well done Patrish. Three very nice shots.

I hope you didn't smash up mom's good tea set just to win this.

LOL! You're so right. It was my mom's...12 place setting. When we moved in 2009, I carefully packed each piece, put it in my car and drove the 5 miles between the old and new homes several times with our most fragile items. But I forgot the cups in the china cabinet. The movers did what movers are supposed to do, and several days later I discovered what was left of the cups. My mother no doubt rolled over in her grave and thought "I should have left the china to her brother."

Must be nearly deadline time in this challenge...

To be honest, the small town where I live is not really that bad. I think I was "lucky" to find the burnt-out car near my favourite river sunrise location.

AHHH!! Sorry I am late on my pick but the 70 hour work weeks are killing me. No more overtime in the near future. :D I'll choose my favorite tomorrow morning when I am a bit more rested.

Okay, I am awake!

Paul, you have some very nice depth to your photograph. Thr rear wheel with the melted rubber pooled at the bottom really shows the intensity of the heat. How ironic the auto went up in flames so near the water!

Patrish, I will comment on one photograph, #2, I like the dream like effect and the overall gloom of the image. I expect to see a dimly lighted figure appear from behind a curtain. I think with this shot I can imagine many shattered dreams scenarios.

So with that said I will choose Patrish's neglected dormer as my favorite.

Thank you, Phil Both #1 and #2 were taken in France in 2008. I did a series of French windows, and that moody window was from the set.

I'll get back in a day or two with a new challenge.
