The world is full of beautiful people; but some are more beautiful than others. What do you do if you want to photograph someone, but suddenly realise they have a face only a mother could love? Why, simply wait for them to obscure their face of course and you'll still get a winning photo!

Here are some examples:

This old horror frightened away a lingering group of school children. Fortunately he knew which side of the camera to stay behind.

This young lady was so ugly, she could make onions cry.

Of course it's not only people you encounter on the street who can have a face only fit for radio. If you fell out of the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down, why not try some obscured self portraits:

Ok get out there and find yourself an ugly! Present your captures here, but please don't make us look at their faces!

Bonus points will be awarded for originality or shots taken specifically for this challenge.

A winner will be chosen on Sunday 28th October (just in time for Halloween) so get your entries in before then. Feel free to post as many entries as you like (although more than 50 might be pushing it a bit).

Good luck and don't crack your lenses!

We do indeed! I won't give a detailed analysis of each entry (as I am known to do) this time, suffice to say my favourites included Phil's Bloody Zombie man, Patrish's Fall in the Ball and Mashi's laughing group.

The winner overall is Phil's "Racket Man" tennis player, for outstanding timing and framing of the face perfectly. Phil, over to you!

Congratulations, Phil! I liked the Racket Man too!
Misha, I thought your 'one turned away face' was perfect for the challenge title!
