New challenge subject: Artistic. Photographs processed to look more arty than realistic.

As usual, up to 3 entries each

Here’s a few examples, don’t forget you’re not restricted to landscapes, anything goes.

Nice broad topic, should definitely bring out some interesting photos.
I usually try and stay away from this style and keep my edits relatively simple. So this should be an interesting challenge for me.

Looking forward to seeing the results.
Now I've just got to think of an idea.

I am NOT artsy at all but I will submit a few of my fine art interpretations!

I'll start with a stand against the wall and be shot with a P&S and how I gave it a bit of color for the family Christmas video. I hope this fits the criteria.

So am I to assume something can only be artistic if it's been hacked with PhotoShop?

Anyway you like Eric. You can even use a wet darkroom if you like, just like the old days.

I call it "manipulative pixel alteration" :D

Anyway I viewed John's description as 'changed not to look like a photograph.'

So many good and varied 'Arty' shots, that have had me pondering for a couple of days. In the end I have gone for this one from Tim.

So it over to you Tim for the next subject.

Thankyou and well done to all who entered.

Way to go, Timmy! I really liked this shot!

John, thanks for your contest idea, and for your consistent follow-up.

Woo hoo! Thanks folks (and especially John). This was a fun challenge and I enjoyed looking at everybody's interpretations.

I actually used smoke for the first time in that picture (I set fire to some kitchen roll)...which gives me an idea for the next challenge.

Hmmm...
