Cool effects on both these shots, Mia. Were they the same image with different treatments, or two separate photos? If the same, I would love to know what filter you used. (The coffee looks tasty in both!)

Yep I like both of these different effects too. Looks like you had a good image to work with also, nicely lit etc.

Thanks for looking Patrish, yes it was tasty coffee! I just snapped this in a cafe we went
to for lunch...

It is the same shot and in the first version I just worked with layers and textures until
I got what I was after.
The second one I just softened I think lol, maybe an Orton effect as well. Sorry, butI find it
hard to remember afterwards exactly what I've done...

Thanks a lot Timmy, the photo was rather boring in itself, so I decided to play with it a bit
and see what happened...

Oh, I can sure relate to that! LOL! I get to working with an image, and I do this and that...and after about 20 minutes of thising and thating, and maybe a glass of wine, I'm hoping nobody asks me about it! Anyhow, you did a really nice job with both these images, Mia!

That first one would be an excellent canvas print.

You should print one and approach them with it. If they aren't hurting for money, you might be surprised. They might just buy it. I've sold a couple of prints that way. The only downside is you are out the printing costs if they say no, but the ones that they have said no, I end up hanging on my wall anyway. lol

He he thanks Aaron, good idea. I have yet to print any of my photos, so about time I started. Our walls are so
full of my partner's work (he paints very big works) so I haven't really thought about it yet....
